History and culture

The Costa Brava has an artistic and cultural heritage found in the many historic buildings, ruins and excavations that are of great value. The Greek-Roman ruins of Empúries are the most visited archaeological site in Catalonia, but you can also enjoy the remains of the Greek, Roman, Iberian and medieval ruins that can be found in Tossa, Ullastret, Palamos and Pals, as well as its fascinating museums in which the numerous items of daily use of these times are retained.

All about Dalí

In Figueres, it is possible to admire the art of the surrealist genius Salvador Dalí. Swimming

Gastronomy

Girona is one of the most important gourmet and wine tourism destinations in the world. The most prominent is the combination of sea and mountains in a dish known with the same name -mar i muntanya- and combining, in a stew, products like shellfish (lobster, crayfish, shrimp, ...) with others from the mountains ( including rabbit and chicken). That's why it is possible in its gastronomy to find meat, fish, seafood and vegetables.
