What to visit in Blanes?

Blanes was the first town in the Costa Brava which has received the certificate Family Destination 2007. Thanks to a wide range of accommodations and restaurants, with special attention to the little ones. Playgrounds, horse riding, carting, sailing, recreational activities in museums ... Your kids will not be bored and enjoy every moment! Do not forget to visit the town and take a tour through its history.

For those interested in gardens, we have two gems of international level. The botanical garden Mar i Murtra and Pinya de Rosa tropical garden. A recommendation to visit during your stay.

The botanical garden Mar i Murtra is one of the most interesting in terms of landscape and receives a hundred thousand visitors each year who walk the paths along the cliffs and enjoy one of the best views of the Costa Brava.

The Pinya de Rosa, is situated on the outskirts of the city on a 50-hectare farm and is one of the most interesting living cactus libraries in Europe.

And then the monuments, Blanes has through time been able to adapt without forgetting the origins and virtues that make the visitors feel at home.

The highest point of the town is the mountain Sant Joan with the remains of the castle with its well-preserved slender tower from the eleventh century. In the village nineteenth century houses and important gothic vestiges such as the "Font Gothic" by the church of Santa Maria, a former palace of the Viscounts of Cabrera from the fourteenth century.
