The caravanning sector is popular in our country. This is evident from the latest data from the Spanish Association of Industry and Commerce of Caravaning (ASEICAR), indicating that in the first half of 2018 3,621 campers have been registered, almost 11% more compared to the same period last year.
In addition, the sale of motorhomes has increased by 347% in the past five years and by 203% the combined sales with caravans. This Boom is spatially visible in the sales of autonomous communities. Only in 2017, 1,298 campers were registered in Catalonia, accounting for 22.45% of the total last year.
The 'boom' of the caravan sector is mainly due to the demand from society for new forms of holiday activities based on contact with nature. According to figures from the Observatory Motor 2018 of Cetelem, traveling to any point in Spain is the kind of journey that most users make (74% of the entries), prior to major journeys outside Spain (47%), and short holidays (45%). In these trips, 41% users say that they spend the night at campsites. One is Camping Bella Terra, located on one of the best beaches of the Costa Brava, in the town of Blanes in Girona.
"Over the past few years, the camping industry has seen a clear evolution and a change in the needs of campers, with a very significant increase in customers visiting our facilities on board their comfortable motorhomes," says Vicenç Fernández, director of the Bella Terra Camping.
Camping Bella Terra offers the best pitches on the Costa Brava, located in large shady areas where campers can install their motorhome or caravan. One is the Comfort pitch, with dimensions of 90 square meters with water and drainage on the same pitch, and the other is the Standard pitch, with a measurement of 70 to 80 square meters. "On any of the two plots, our camper will feel at home here, and you can choose whether you want to be near the beach or pool", Fernández concludes.
Camping Bella Terra started on Tuesday 13 November with the reservations for the 2019 season on its web portal.
